Nationwide campaign for the Government over 4 years

A young couple, AjunngiLars and KakkaLine, sail in a small boat, and each time they go out, minor accidents occur because they lack the proper equipment. AjunngiLars is inexperienced at sea, which his partner cannot tolerate. You can see how their trips end in the short videos on the website www.imaani.gl, which also provides useful safety tips for being at sea.

The “AjunngiLars” campaign was also showcased at the largest Arctic conference, “Arctic Circle,” held in October 2016 in Reykjavik, Iceland.

How can maritime safety be strengthened?

For several years, the campaign has focused on the cartoon character “AjunngiLars.” It has been featured on KNR-TV and in cinemas, with the message also shared on social media via Instagram and YouTube. Facebook users have followed the campaign on www.facebook.com/AjunngiLars.

Nearly 5,000 Facebook users have clicked “Like” to stay updated with the page. Additionally, eight animated videos were featured on www.imaani.gl, targeting young audiences. Two of these eight videos were short clips that included competitions.
